
IPL Teams 2011
Until few years back, people and cricket fans were only thrilled by the ODI cricket. However, in the recent years T20 cricket has become a massive success and the experimental Indian Premier League 20-20 cricket has become a hit among the masses. The Indian Premier League season 2011 often famous as IPL T20 is going to be the fourth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) launched by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The IPL matches have gained a lot of popularity recently and are expected to be more successful this year. There are many international players along with local players involved in this tournament making the tournament an international success.

IPL Season 4
The event will be hosted by India and will run from 8 April to 22 May 2011, soon after the end of Cricket World Cup. The inauguration ceremony will take place in Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on April 8 and the entire tournament will consist of 74 matches. A total of ten teams are set to take part which are split into two groups. Two new teams are added this season that is, the Sahara Pune Warriors and Kochi.
IPL Venues:
Most of the venues comprise of places from where the teams belong. The venues decided for IPL matches are Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai with a capacity of 20000 and 55000 respectively, Eden Gardens in Kolkata with 90000 capacity, Pune International Cricket centre in Pune with 55000 capacity, M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai with 50000 capacity, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium with a capacity of 45000, Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad with 40000 capacity, PCA stadium in Mohali with 30000 capacity, Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi with 48000 capacity, Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur with 30000 capacity, Virdarbha Cricket Association Stadium with 40000 capacity and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi with 60000 capacity.

Pune Warriors IPL
The teams selected for participating in this year’s tournament are Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and the two new teams to the league that is, Pune Warriors and Kochi IPL team. The bids for these two new teams collectively were more than the bid paid for all other eight teams together in 2008. The auction for these teams took place on March 22, 2010 in Chennai. Although Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals were expelled temporarily from the league due to their some issues regarding ownership changes but have now been recalled again with the help of High court.

Kochi Bruisers IPL
The players for this year’s league were auctioned on Jan 8 and 9, 2011 at the ITC Royal Gardenia in Bangalore. The auctioneer Richard Madley was present along with 350 players for auction. Some of the major players like Brian Lara, Saurav Ganguly, and Gibbs went unsold. Indian players took away a massive amount of most of the bidding.
Everybody all across the globe is waiting for the fourth IPL Premier League to begin. The enthusiasm is uncontrollable for cricket fans to enjoy the IPL 20-20 and start their own personal bets.
