Bydgoszcz, the 8th largest city of Poland is situated at the Brda and Vistula Rivers and presents a panoramic landscape for the locals and visitors. Chiriquí National Marine Park

On the western coast of Panama is located the Chiriquí province which after Panama Province, is the second most developed province. Bordered by Costa Rica, Bocas Del Toro, Ngobe-bugle, Veraguas and Pacific Ocean, the capital of Chiriquí is David. Chiriquí was a province of indigenous tribes collectively called Guaymies, till the Spaniards arrived there. From ideal beaches and highlands to excellent hiking, kayaking, birding and shopping, Chiriquí Province provides its visitors with many treasures. Most importantly the province provides excellent facilities to retire and settle there.

The capital city of The Chiriquí Province, David is a great place to stay and shop at. Another must see place while Chiriquí Province is Boquete. Lying at the base of the Volcan Baru an extinct volcano, Boquete is a mountain valley full of beautiful flowers. The place offers great hiking opportunities and a spectacular view of coffee farms, panoramic mountains and waterfalls.  Located on the Pacific coast is the Chiriquí National Marine Park, which is a collection of 25 islands and 19 coral reefs and the terrestrial and marine life that inhabits this park is spectacularly diverse. This park was created in 1994 and several of the islands that constitute it are uninhabited. Preserving the ecosystems and maintaining the diverse flora and fauna of the region are the main functions of this park.  The islands are covered with forests and surrounded by delicate coconut palms. Rocky outcrops spread across the gulf are a significant feature along with marine meadows.

The white sands, coral reefs and large mangrove swamps are fast turning this park into a favorite spot with travelers. The closest town to it is Bocha Chica and it is only a little distance away from Boquete. Bocha Chica is a quiet fishing village-town that provides humble accommodations for the visitor to the Chiriquí National Marine Park. The largest island that constitutes the park is Parida and a fun activity to indulge in and explore the park is island hopping. Soak in the sun, discover the diverse marine life, go deep sea diving, scuba diving, snorkeling or sport fishing and make your trip a memorable one. Isla Paridita, a private island on the National Marine Park is one of the few places that provide accommodations on the park. This largely unspoiled island can easily be reached by boat from the town of Bocha Chica.

Other than a rich marine life there are a large variety of birds that would delight bird watchers. The marine life includes schools of Manta Rays, Dolphins, hammerhead sharks and humpback whales. With the help of experienced guides and anglers you can get the best fishing experience of your life at the Chiriquí National Marine Park. In case you are snorkeling and scuba diving enthusiasts then book a boat tour in advance in order to get to the more visible part of the shore. The closest airport is at David, the capital of the Chiriquí Province. There are bus services from David to the town of Bocha Chica which is the gateway to the park. It would be advisable to arrange for accommodations before hand at Bocha Chica.

Orang National Park : Mini Kaziranga

North-east part of India is blessed with numerous and popular wildlife sanctuaries and Orang National Park is also one of them. Lying on the north bank of the Brahmaputra, Orang National Park covers an area of 72 sq.kms. It is just located 32 kms from Tezpur and about 140 kms far from Guwahati. The park is famous for its stunning picturesque and has a good grab of visitors from all over the world. Just because of it’s spellbind and captivating beauty, it is worldwide famous as “Mini Kaziranga”. In 1985, the park was established as a sanctuary and later on, in 1999, it was declared as a National Park. Best time to visit Orang National Park is between November and March. To reach this park is not a problem at all as all the three routes work for it. Like, if you go for air travel, then nearest airport is Saloni, for rail route, the nearest railway station is Saloni and for road route, you will find lots of buses plying regularly from Tezpur. Basically, the park faces typical subtropical monsoon climate and the entire park is almost a flat land.

The Fauna of Orang National Park provides a great home to animals. Indian one-horned Rhinoceros is the prime attraction of the park. Tigers, in bulk, can also be seen here in this park. The park also works as a shelter for other wildlife also like Hog deer, wild pig, civet cat, elephants, Gangetic dolphin, porcupine, leopards, Asiatic elephant, the royal Bengal tiger, wild boar, hare and 50 species of fish can also be witnessed here. Birdlife of Orang National Park is very interesting. The main habitat of bird species in the park is the Bengal florican. These birds are about 30-40 in this park. Other wonderful bird species that can be spotted in this park are Black-necked Stork, greater adjutant Stork, Spot-billed Pelican, Lesser adjutant, wooly-necked Stork, Mallard, Gadwall, Pintail, Rudy Shelduck, and myriad of other small grassland birds. Migratory birds like the milky white Pelicans from America also plays great role in attracting tourists.

Bird watchers paradise in Orang National Park

Reptiles section of Orang National Park is amazing. There are number of species of reptiles in this park. The main among the reptiles are the turtles like kachuga tecta, Lissemys punctata, etc. and among the snakes, python and cobra. Flora of Orang National Park is supposed to be very significant and rich. The park is full of natural forest species, non-aquatic grassland species and aquatic grasslands too. Among the forest species, the major ones are Dalbergia Sisoo, Sterculia villosa, Bombax Ceiba, etc. The non-aquatic species are Arundo donax, Saccarum spp., Imperata cylindrical and so on. Among the aquatic grasslands, flora enthusiast can find here Ipomea reptans, Enhydra Flushians, Wichornia spp., Nymphia spp., etc. Other most enthralling activity to capture your heart in this Orang National Park is Elephant ride. Kornik or Kurɲik

Holiday in Poland

Kornik, a little town, lies in Wielkopolska region of southwest Poznan in Poland. The wonderful city is just only 35 kilometers away from Poznan. Though the “Kornik” literally means chicken coop though it’s nothing like a chicken coop maybe because of its size city got this name. Kornik, the wooded area, is perfect pick for recreation and tourism as it is situated on Warta River. To reach Kornik, the easiest and comfy means of transportation is to catch the bus from Poznan. An interesting myth relevant to Kornik Castle is the main reason for alluring tourists from all over the world towards Poland. The castle was residence for the white lady named Teofila Działyńska Szołdrska-Potulicka for many years and now her ghost comes to haunt the castle every night. The castle also serves as Polish Academy of Sciences as it treasures lots of books and manuscripts by Juliusz Słowacki and Adam Mickiewicz. This library was also looted by Germans Nazis during World War II. It has more than 30,000 books over 150 years old, library also forms a part of National Library of Poland.

Kornik is moving at a rapid pace towards tourism as the city besides the castle also had a Park named Arboretum. This park lies just behind the Kornik Castle. The park is famous for its stunning picturesque, rare flowers, amazing trees, burgeoning bushes, tranquil meadows and also the willow with pears. The Spanish conquest of Latin American occurred via Panama Vieja. Be sure to visit the museum there but with a Spanish speaking guide as the exhibits are in Spanish. Casco Viejo was established on the fall of Panama Vieja in 1671. Take a walking tour of the city and discover the churches, the ruins of the residences and convents of the 17th century, the French monument for those who were martyred in the building of the Panama Canal and the city museum.

Take a walk or bike ride along the Amador Causeway and enjoy the spectacular skyline of Panama City. This causeway has been constructed by joining four small islands and with rocks that were excavated from the Panama Canal. Nature enthusiasts can begin their tour of the city by visiting Parque Metropolitano, which is a tropical forest reserve on the outskirts of the city. The park has five trails where one can witness the diversity of wildlife in the form of Titi monkeys, orioles, trogons, parakeets, toucans and agoutis. Your tour of Panama City is incomplete if you did try the vibrant nightlife of the city. From a collection of nightclubs, discos and casinos, take your pick and join the Panamanians in their national pastime of partying. All the three sections of the city indulge in partying till the wee hours of the morning and no matter which section of the city you are in you can head out in the night for your dose of fun. There are many choices for souvenirs in Panama City. The members of the Kuna Indian tribe make delicate reverse appliqué embroidery called ‘molas’ which is basically front and back of the top especially for women, a great gift. The other tribes make handicrafts like small figurines carved out of Taguna Nut and woven baskets. From the business district of Reprosa you can pick up jewelry such as pre-Columbian Indian art and Spanish Colonial jewelry reproductions that are completely authentic. Other places to find authentic handicrafts include the Gran Morrison Variety Store and the Balboa Artisan’s Market. Sea-food in Panama city is not to be missed though for those who are not big admirers of sea food Panama City offers a large variety of cuisines at most reasonable rates.
